A plain unscented bar of soap, such as Ivory works. Shave a few flakes off with
your pocket knife to wash dishes or clothes. I prefer a hard-milled castille soap.
The local natural foods store often carries unscented hard soaps.
"I am looking for a way to keep it as simple and light as possible. Any
suggestions? I am also concerned that all the soap products are so smelly,
and I understand that less smell means less trouble in bear country."
