Um, are you using true Esbit tablets or some other solid fuel tablets? Each
Esbit tablet weighs .5 ounce and burns for 15 minutes. I usually boiled 2
cups of water in about 7 minutes. I would either blow out the tablet if I
just needed hot water or use the rest of the burn time if I wanted to
further cook my meal.
I don't cook in the morning so just figured on one tab per day. Worked for
me... 3.5 oz for a week of fuel.
A windscreen is important when using the Esbit tablets.
