[pct-l] North bound hiker takes off

Chris Mills of Sacramento began his hike today at 4 pm from the Mexican
border at Campo.  With food, fuel, and 8 liters of water, his pack
weight was about 45 pounds.  The register at the trailhead showed
several other departures for today, but only one, a couple, appeared to
be hiking for any long distance.
