RE: [pct-l] elevation change

We noticed this problem with the guidebook data points when we were hiking
on the PCT in 98, but after a few weeks it didn't matter. What is another
1500 feet or so of elevation gain when your body is operating in thru-hiker
mode? It did give us something to complain about while we were living and
moving through paradise.

Beth, in cloudy, cool Portland, OR
(it helps with the trail homesickness to know that it is ~100 degrees down
there is So Cal PCT land)
