[pct-l] Angela Walker and Duffy Ballard start their hike

This morning at 5:45 I dropped off Angela Walker and Duffy Ballard at the
monument.  They, too, have a website at which to follow their progress.
Although not as high tech on the trail as Doug Gates, they will update their
site with journal entries and photographs.  The address is www.mod2600.org
If anyone can imagine a more fitting name for a young woman thru hiker than
Angela Walker, I'd like to know what it is.

These are the last of the 31 hikers it has been my pleasure and good fortune
to have hosted this year.  Every one of them is a kind, thoughtful,
considerate lady or gentleman who are not only using the trail, but caring
for it as well. It is my fondest hope for the Class of 2000 that they, and
the trail, each in their own way, benfit from the experience of having been
brought together.
