RE: [pct-l] ADT

I thought that one could carry huge loads on a bicycle and I saw pictures of
bikes with front/back saddle bags. So, off I went down the Pacific Coast
Bike Trail with my massive load. Well, it is the same as with hiking: DON'T
DO IT! Definitely go lightly. I could hardly lift my bike. Steering was
difficult, hills were nearly impossible (read that lots of pushing) although
the down-hills were exciting.

And watch out for busy roads. I really missed the quite of the trail. With
cars rushing by at 60+ mph, watching the scenery was not an option. Course,
on back roads, it was fine.
