Re: [pct-l] Good Luck 2000

Thinking back a year ago at this time my life was moving at a crazy speed. I
had just resigned my job in NYC and the idea that I was somehow going to
uproot my life, sell all my possessions and head out into the desert (a
place I had never been before) seemed quite daunting and almost impossible.

Now, a year later, I'm fighting the urge to be trail bound to do it all over
again. The slightest spring breeze brings back a flood of vivid memories of
the journey north and those first days in the desert. The taste of water
after thirty dry miles, the brown desert dust all over my skin, scurrying
lizards, red velvet ants, the red leathery bark of the mazanita tree. . .

Have a wonderful journey class of 2000. Let the experience nourish your
soul. . .and know that when you reach Canada you will forever be spellbound
by your accomplishment.
