[pct-l] hitching to towns

Another question: sometimes the guidebooks describe a hiking route into
town in places where it should also be possible or even preferable to
hitch - e.g. Tehachapi/Mojave, Wrightwood, Big Bear, Dunsmuir. The Town
Guide follows the guidebook recommendations, but Chris's info suggests
that it is better to hitch into town than walk in and out. One
thruhiker told me specifically, don't hike into Wrightwood, hitch the
highway instead. Any thoughts? Are any of the roads
