RE: [pct-l] Re: slides vs. prints

In all these discussions no one has convinced me that the 35 MM format has
advantages over the new Advanced Photo System camera. I have purchased and
used many of the cameras that you have mentioned. They now languish on the
shelf because the APS camera is smaller and the prints are easier to store.
I have APS cameras that screw up but then I have 35 mm cameras, that screw
up including relatively expensive Olympus and Nikkon. I also have a Pentax
SLR. I even have a Olympus XA4, the forerunner of these wonderful
point-and-shoot lightweights

My first APS a non-zoom Konica BMS 100 was bulletproof. However my second, a
Konica Revico screwed up a bunch of pictures. This seems par for the course.
Both a Nikkon and an Olympus 35 MM failed on me at least once.

For a novice, picture taking is easy. Shoot a bunch of shots and hope 1 of
1000 is a prize winner.
