The restaurant which is one mile west of where the trail crosses the
Palms to Pines Highway, opened yesterday.  They served me one of the
best burgers I've had in quite a while.  However, it is strictly a
restaurant, so for supplies, one would still have to go on into Anza.
If you intend to visit Pat and Paul at the Hiker's Oasis, you can
contact them from the pay phone found outside this establishment.
