Re: [ft-l] ... a few questions



The below is the definition of an l-d hiker from Trailplace.  This isn't a
term really defined by any "authority" that I know of, just one which has
come into use among members of the hiking community.

"LONG-DISTANCE HIKER is a somewhat indeterminate term applied to anyone who
is hiking more than a few weeks, and who usually has to resupply at least
once during his or her hike; often used interchangeably with the term
thru-hiker."
