I was wondering who was going to set Sandy straight!  What an awesome sight
to see caracarras in the wild.

Actually, I did see a cow carcass on the FT once in the Croom section.  It
had been hit by a train, I think, and you could smell it for a mile.  I
always pick up trash and garbage as I hike but that was a bit much for me!
There was one night on the AT last year, however, when I was almost out of
food one day before hitting my next maildrop and I might have been really
tempted...
