I think the confusion might be about the type of trail.  There are hundreds of
small islands in the intracoastal waterway that present a wonderful canoe
trail.  There are approx. 20 primitive campsites on some of these islands that
can be reserved by contacting the ranger station at CNS.  So there's a great
opportunity for a lot of rowing, camping and fishing on this water trail.
