I have had situations much like yours down on the trails at Myakka. I had a
guy almost run me over and when I told him the trail was for foot traffic
only, he said, "When you guys start taking as good care of the bike trails
as you do the foot trails, I'll ride over there." He did not volunteer to
help. I almost always have a camera. I take their picture and tell them I am
going to give copies to the park rangers at the gate. I also carry a cell
phone. As soon as they are out of sight I call the Rangers.
