Hello,

I hope you are making plans to join us at the celebration of the Florida
National Scenic Trail this coming Sunday, October 27 after the Florida
Trail Association's Central Florida Conference.  The announcement is below.
Please come and join us in celebrating the USDA Forest Service's largest
single land purchase to protect the route of the Florida National Scenic
Trail.  The FTA, USDA Forest Service and The Trust for Public Land are
hosting this event. A free barbecue lunch is being catered by TPL.  Hope to
see you there.

Event will Celebrate the Preservation of Florida National Scenic Trail Site

          Congressman John Mica will join staff and friends of the Trust
          for Public Land, the Florida Trail Association and the USDA
          Forest Service to celebrate the preservation of Mills Creek
          Woodlands as part of the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST).





          WHAT: =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 The event will celebrate the Trust fo=
r Public Land,
          Seminole  County,  Florida  Trail  Association  and  USDA  Forest
          Service  partnership  that  was developed to protect the two-mile
          section  of  the FNST that will link to the Big Little Econ State
          Forest to the northwest and Seminole County's Chuluota Wilderness
          to  the southeast.=A0 Congressman Mica was instrumental in securi=
ng
          federal  funding  for  the  project, which was the largest single
          purchase by the USDA Forest Service for the FNST.

road 408 (East-West Expressway) take
          SR  50/Colonial Drive east for 3.9 miles to CR 419/Chuluota Road.
          Drive  north on Chuluota Road for 5.1 miles, then turn right onto
          Lake  Mills Road. Go 2.1 miles, turn left onto Panorama Drive and
          follow the signs to the celebration site.
