While helping out a friend of mine who's looking for places near his home to practice carrying a heavy pack, I discovered the Lake County Water Authority website:

http://www.lcwa.org

Click on "Preserves," and it lists all of the various properties that the authority owns-- all with hiking trails! Directions to each site (including Hidden Waters) and hiking maps are available on the website.
