Darren, The Hidden Waters hike is only a mile. A sign on the kiosk implies that you can call the Lake County Water Authority to get a permit for camping. We only saw one suitable spot in the park for a campsite, however. And we did pack out a bunch of trash we found. Just FYI. Cheers, Sandy
