[ft-l] water...



A lot of issues come up.  Some agencies have no problem with us sinking pumps;
some require permits and testing; one agency (like Big Cypress!!) actually
pulled our pumps up because they did not qualify as "public water supply".
Unfortunately, they have nothing in their books that permits non-potable trail
sources.  Ask June Atkinson about the go-round we had on this one!

I might be off base here, but it seems to me that as the money begins to roll 
in for trail development we really need to consider adding wells and hand 
pumps along many of the trails.  Water is scarce on so many of our trails and 
getting harder to find all the time.
