[ft-l] thru-hiking

My name is Kiersten.  I too am 24 and will be hiking through Big Cypress during the second week of January with a companion from California.  I plan to do the thru hike but have not hiked in Florida before and would love some words of advice.  I'm from Washington State and most of my hiking and backpacking experience has been there.  I am a little apprehensive about the wading aspect of the trip and would like to know any specifics about the Big Cypress leg.  It's great to hear everyone's input.  Thanks!
