IF the maps will be updated in time, wait for them if you can. We found a lot of discrepencies between the trail and the maps while section hiking over the past year. Joan Hobson would be the best person to contact regards trail conditions and variances from the maps on the thru trail. She's not on this email list, but Tracy can give you her phone number.
