Rick self-published a book of journal of FT thru-hikers and is the acknowledged "expert" on who's done what.  Rick has section hiked the entire FT.  He leaves Saturday to hike from South Alabama to Springer Mountain.  He's putting together a data book/guide for that section of the Eastern Continental hike.
