I think the Florida Trail would bea great place for a field trip for
young people..Would a teacher have to have a member or members of the
association along to supervise?
I am also a high school faculty member and had a great time taking some
urban at-risk kids down the Juniper Springs run one time. The lessons
they learned that day can't be taught in a semester in school!
You could also have some association members, or scouts, or trail shop
staff, come to school and demonstrate packing for a hike and zero impact
camping.
Let us know what you come up with. Perhaps we could use your ideas at our
school.
