[cdt-l] New Mexico Fires?

I was talking to several ranger districts just south of Anaconda-Pintler
yesterday and, as Jim Wolf just said, they indicated about 19 miles of CDT
in Anaconda-Pintler were burned. They said that there'd be lots of
blowdowns, but with good maps we'd have no difficulty navigating. Their
greater concern was whether hikers would be careful enough about tent
placement at night. They stressed how root systems had been burned and that
high winds will topple lots of trees... hopefully not on your tent!

Was the CDT effected by any of the fires last summer? Will I be hiking
through a scorched waste land filled with chared trees and darkend earth?

Just the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Segment in Montana.
