[cdt-l] Resupply/Colorado

<html><DIV>I am finishing up some planning for my hike this summer and am just wondering why it is that no CDT guidebooks and very few thru-hikers list Silverton as a resupply stop (rather than Lake City)?&nbsp; The hike down from Stony Pass is steep but only around 10 miles.&nbsp; Is it simply because of the hitch possibilities from Spring Creek into Lake City?&nbsp; Or is there something I am missing (ie. a herd of abominable snowmen that terrorize Silverton bound hikers?).&nbsp; </DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I personally prefer Silverton as a town above Lake City and I plan on stopping there on my hike to meet some friends but I&nbsp;am wondering if anyone else has used it as a supply/rest stop.</DIV>
