Kristen, I'm still working on my maildrop schedule, but I took a look at
yours and had a couple of questions and comments.  Maybe someone else
following this has some insight to offer?

1.  Have you figured your average miles per day between drops?  I did, and
I wonder if, for example, you really mean to walk an average of 8 1/2 miles
a day between Troutville and Waynesboro, but 15 1/2 miles a day through the
Whites.  I am figuring a ramp up from 10 miles a day to 16 miles a day over
the first few weeks, dropping to 10 a day in the Whites, then back up to 12
or 14 after the Mahoosucs.

2.  Some of your drops are very far apart.  For example, 162 miles (M/L)
from Damascus to Pearisburg.  Probably the reasonableness of this depends
on what you're using maildrops for and what your interim resupply plans are.

3.  FYI, I've added my calculations on # days between drops, # miles
between drops, and miles per day to your schedule below.  Miles per day
(MPD) assumes 7 days a week; the actual average will be higher because of
layover time (especially true in the case of Trail Days if you expect to
spend a few days there).  The mileages I've indicated are close but not
perfect--they're based on old data (2160 miles, not 2167).

4.  Are you sure you want to plan your finish as late as October 10 or so?
I'm going to give myself a little more cushion than that in case of bad
weather.
