Actually the Old meaning of Christmas is and was Winter Soltice!!!! It had
nothing to do with the birth of jesus. The actual birth of jesus was in the
summer time,,,BUT,,,because the "church" had to deal with the great holiday
of Winter Soltice,,,"they" decided to say this was the birth of jesus. All
of the traditions of xmas are borrowed from pagan beliefs,,the tree,,,the
yule log,,,etc. So If you want to teach the children the old meaning of
xmas,,,let's go all the way back to the pagan holiday,,,from which xtianity
"borrowed" it's traditions. KC
