I hike because the things I experience while hiking -- birds, trees,
flowers, wildlife, skies, sunrises -- make more sense than the things I
experience in the urban tapestry - asphalt, malls, traffic, lines.
I like the roll of the trail, the upward push, the heat on my face from
walking, the authentic hunger after a day of hiking.
I could go on, but I'll leave it at that!
