I used a bright orange plastique poncho after my Helly-Hansen 
way-too-breathable parka failed going up Sharptop in a hellacious storm. 
I had no complaints, although the ultra-lighter in me doesn't like the 
idea of carrying both a poncho and a jacket or windshell, and both are 
sometimes needed in the earlier months.

Remind me sometime to tell you a story about the orange poncho, silver 
duct tape, and Mt. Momma's...
