Re: [at-l] trail work..VOLUNTEERS.

Nobody wants to do something as simple as pick up garbage, eh?
We need the glory of flagging, dragging, and sidehill cuts, do we?
Are we "making" work, here?
Just teasing, but I hope it doesn't obscure my point: maybe they like the
shape of their trails, and maybe we'd be doing glory just with a garbage
bag and no blisters on the hands. And we don't need permission.

I had a similar reaction -- started to forward Pittsburgh's message to PATC
headquarters with a huffy note -- then decided not to meddle. What's the
will of the list, on this? Or at least of the Ruck trail work volunteers.
Maybe they don't know what a sizeable, dedicated, and (maybe we are, maybe
we aren't) organized group is making the offer. I understand Laurie
Potteiger's giving a LNT presentation at the Ruck. She's ATC staff and
guardian angel of volunteers.

Pittsburg: Pooh willing, want to forward this set of comments to Laurie?
