Oh, Wow! I just discovered a really exciting piece of gear from that
well-known outdoor outfitter, AVON. In their words, it's "the only tool
needed to SURVIVE OUTDOORS!" (caps and ! are theirs)
Here's their description: "Outdoor Companion. All-in-one outdoor
survival tool features: telescope; compass; removable LCD clock with date,
alarm and stopwatch: emergency whistle with miniature pen and SOS
information sheet; magnifying glass; mini mirror; safety flasher and
safety alarm. All this plus a pocket clip and cord for easy transport.
Operates on 2 AAA batteries (not inclued". Metallic silver and black.
Plastic. 4"H x 4 1/4"W. $19.99"
If it's the "only tool" needed, does that mean I can leave my
brain at home? ;-/ And I wonder what "outdoors" is included...maybe
just the back yard? I know y'all will want to put that on yer Xmas lists.
-- Earthworm, who's curious what a "safety alarm" is.
