Hey hoops, cool pics! We never did get to meet in '97 (I don't think, did
we?) but the name sounds familiar. What were you starting and ending dates?
Looking at my PCT data book, '95 was tough year snowwise, were you able to
hike on thru? What direction?
Two very different trails, I'm not sure which I liked best or thought (think)
more of. Both awesome experiences, and I still have half the PCT to do. I
guess I'll have to give that one the nod, it was mind boggling.
Why am I doing the AT again next year? It's closer and I like it. However,
my master plan (not really master, but possible) is to hike Springer to
Damascus, (paint the Place, do Trail Days) hike Katahdin to Hanover, finish
the PCT where I left off and if I still have legs (and money, possible),
Hanover to Damascus. Then again, I'll most likely (probably not, but maybe)
do a straight shot north on the AT to gain widely accepted "thru-hiker"
status. Ask Twilight.
Who knows, after I speak with Jim and Ginny, anything (trail) could happen.
Y2K aka "year to know" with a hundred days to go, Sly
