My opinion.  I started hiking with superfeet (got sold by the outfitter) and 
could barely stand the pain in my feet.  After nearly 1500 miles I wised up 
and got some cushion (aka spenco).  For the last 2000 miles or so, I haven't 
had problems with pain in my feet.
