The Atlanta Constitution reports today that the fires have breached Blood
Mountain, and there is some danger for Neels Gap. The article suggests 3
fires were started within 1-2 hours, and that 2 fires have merged on Blood
Mountain. Arson is suspected, but investigation will await control of the
blazes. The blazes began Saturday afternoon. The paper also suggests that
the drought is not all that severe in North Georgia, but obviously they
haven't tried to find water recently.
