kc does have a point. on the AT mm and I probably stayed in less than half a
dozen shelters and most of them were in the smokies...i like to socialize
etc but you get people snoring coming in way after dark and deciding its
time for diner on time in the smokies it was raining the shelter was full
and someone was actually smoking sitting in the shelter...argh   quickly
learned tenting was far better even in the rain..less noise and more
sleep...:)     hoops
