     I loved this, Mark. You are going to have SUCH a time on the AT.
     But where do wife and 4 kids fit in? Details? Details?

I could never get enough of the woods and always had that dream to just 
keep going.  To see what was on the other side of that next hill.

For now I'm still taking long walks in the woods, but come Feb 7th 2000 I 
begin my first "backpacking hike".  And for at least one moment while I 
stand on top of Springer Mt and look to the north down that long trail I 
will at least feel like the richest man in the world.  Or even better yet, 
maybe I'll feel 8 years old again.
