[at-l] dogs and the trail

as with people there are good trail dogs and bad trail dogs. it does not
even have to do with the owner (although sometimes it might). while hiking
on the pct we met up with a nice couple from kansas, they had two dogs with
them one brown lab (ellie) and one small golden(kimba) now two dogs same
owners two totally different trail dogs ellie would bump you on snow
fields snore chase things etc. kimba was quite followed commands simply
loved the trail not a problem. i remember coming back to the tent site after
getting supplies in town and having ellie sleeping on what used to be my
tent, also one day he proceeded to eat all my boot grease, later a dead
squirrel he found in a bucket of water, then around supper time he found a
rib cage from a dead deer. meanwhile kimba was just a doll (it could have
been because he was older and had already done the at) but i ramble the
point is that like people some are good on the trail and some snore and
smell.....:) hoops pct 95 at 97
