Refried beans is one of the easiest things to dry at home. Open the can,
spread some out on the dryer tray (use the fruit rollup sheet) or on
some aluminum foil in your oven and dry till crumbly.  Cheap, good,
quick to rehydrate.  Yum!

Add some taco seasoning to the beans you dried above, and add some
shredded dried pork or beef using my previously posted instructions for
drying meats, and you be in Taco Heaven at my campfire.  Yee Haw!
