From the above web site:

"Hikers on the Appalachian Trail ascending from Craig Creek to the top of
Sinking Creek Mountain will walk across the benches of one of the
ancient giant landslides. Hikers on the Appalachian Trail along the
crest of Sinking Creek Mountain can look down the eastern slope toward
Huckleberry Knob and see the benches of the ancient giant landslides. "

This has nothing to do with the rock mounds on top of the crest of Sinking
Creek Mountain.
