Hi all,

I know that I have been in lurker mode for a while, but I am here to make
a few comments.  First off is that I did not get to the gathering and I
will not be able to get to the AMC meeting at the Gap.  I am going to try
and make it to the ruck though.  It is cool and rainy today, which is
just fine as I have other commitments for the day.  Tomorrow it may clear
off and I will be able to get an AMC hike in at the Gap.

Part of the reason that I have been lurking is that so much on this list
is not trail related.  Oh, I like some of the humor and the stories, but
I especially like the trail reports.  There are so few of them.     A lot
of the post really are 'junk' for me and I have recently been hitting the
delete key in a big way.  Where are the trip reports, the stories, the
tall tales?  Where is Felix's sick and demented humor?  Hey Felix, when
are you going to write your book??

Oh well, this is definitely an off list topic.  I hope that all of you
who attended the gathering have a lot of tales to tell.  I need a trail
fix, which I will get the end of this month, but I need something to
sustain me until then.
