neither irony nor sarcasm works well in cyberspace

even with a webcam I'd suspect we miss most of the message in an email  

it's possible for two people to pass like dark ships on a moonless night
even in one another's presence

email must be something like a blind man thru hiking ... it's possible, but
you fall down a  lot
