You are kidding!?!?!?!?
Well shut my mouth!!!!
is this supposed to be a problem for hikers??
<vbg> -- Earthworm
I intend to still be hiking when I'm sixty, but when I hear the kinds of
elevation
changes that the CDT brings, we'll it's more than I can imagine me doing.
I feel comfortable about the AT...you really are never that far from humanity
and all the conveniences and stores. But the CDT is a whole different
animal. Few blazes, fewer people except in the more famous stretches.
Deserts.....really risky water sources. Ice axes.....yikes. I guess I'm
just a wooosie. But the remoteness of their experience is just awesome to
me. Maybe it's my hubby having a heart attack in his forties this spring....
dunno.....
But doing the CDT.....going soooo far out of the comfort zone.....yep!!!!
That impresses the heck out of me....at any age.
