[at-l] fuel tabs

I had an Esbit stove and this weekend puchased a Coughlin's emergency
stove with several fuel tabs for $5. Based on what little is  written on
the box, I don't know what difference there is, if any, between these
tabs and the Esbit. Can anybody help me here? And how do these little
dots compare in terms of heat and time?
