I was just thinking last night that one year ago yesterday, I was crossing
the Maine border into my last state on my thruhike.  And one year ago today
I was hiking over Goose Eye and thru Mahoosuc Notch... I did it alone but
was really glad to have Hootie and Jingle about a half hour behind me and
to share the experience with them on the far end of the Notch.  Then the
climb up the arm was spectacular and I saw sunset over the distant Whites
from the top.  My first full day hiking in Maine was a wonderful day.

*sigh*

I love these one-year-ago-today's.
