Re: [at-l] gearing up on the cheap



Walmart $11 contton-feel nylon shorts.  Hiked 500 AT miles in them in 1997 
and 1500 in 1998 and I have them on now.  The women's version didn't have 
pockets so I got the men's.  Elastic and drawstring waist.  Wash and dry in 
a flash.  No sign of wear yet, tho they're a little stained from my pack 
waist band.
