Big Lots and the Dollar Store are two of my favorite gear stores. Seam 
sealer, rope, cooking stuff, bags, containers, fleece, shorts, Baggies, and 
other stuff are always there. Often food (freeze-dries soups and pastas, 
pop-tarts, and such) can be as good a value as at Costco or Sam's, without 
having to buy too many.
