According to the just received PIPC Press Release, the Appalachian Trail
will remain open for through-hikers. We can all assume this means legit
through-hikes only; no dayhikers or weekend backpackers.
All woodlands and trails in PIPC parks in both states are closed. This is
the 13th time in 25 years that PIPC has closed trails due to fire danger
