Re: [at-l] Planning a 2001 Thru-Hike
Plan on attending the A.L.D.H.A. Gathering Columbus Day weekend
Hanover, NH (this year).
Plan on subscribing to the AT-L, splitting your (very good) questions
into a dozen or more detailed posts, and plan on starting debates when
your questions go between other hiker's idea of how you should hike
your hike. The AT-L is a virtual campfire; thus "Hey! Pull up a log!"
Look forward to your posts.

I have started planning a March 2001 thru-hike. I am 29 now and am going to quit
a job I've had since college. What should I be
planning for at this early date? I am trying to figure out money, where I will
live after the hike, maintaining healthcare, etc. I've
left myself 19 months to prepare and would like to use them wisely.
