Re[2]: [at-l] sleeping bag

     Naahhhhhhh. One bag's plenty, IF'N you leave Springer at a reasonable
     date. One of the things I just don't get is the current fascination
     with March -- February -- even, for Goodness sakes, JANUARY leaving
     dates. Take a 20* bag, start in April, and plan on a couple of nights
     of "full dress sleeping." In the summer, you can sleep with your bag
     open, or even on top of it, or even spend the $16 for a fleecy liner
     jobie. (Technically, though, that's STILL two bags. Hmmmmm.)

     Are we being a little too anal here, or are we just trying to keep
     warm?

If this is for an AT attempt or a PCT attempt, Bill is right, buy two bags.
You need a zero degree for the beginning, the end, and ALL above tree line
portions. Lower altitudes and summer months require a much lighter/cooler
bag.
     <lots more snippage>
All of this ignores a very basic question...what kind of sleeper are you?
