RE: [at-l] Bruce Trail in Canada

Hi Sandy,

I hiked a small portion of the Bruce south of Tobermory many years ago. I
remember it as a pleasant hike, several miles of beach walk most of the rest
in wooded areas. I recall staying at a trail shelter, and being visited by
the biggest porcupine I've ever seen. He seemed to be a regular visitor
based on the extensive damage to the shelter floor (gnawing to get salt
deposited by hikers sweaty legs on the edge of the platform). I know I've
put the Bruce on my "list" of places to revisit in the future, so I feel
confident in saying "go for it", you'll probably enjoy it. When I hiked it
there was a guidebook and set of maps available, probably still is. For more
info try http://www.brucetrail.org/. Hope this helps and you have fun.

Lyle
