1) The distance was perfect for me. I was pleased that I was able to do and 
enjoy that distance but even more so that I had picked the right distance 
for my condition. (2 months ago, 3 miles on the sidewalk would wipe me out 
for the day.)  I started dragging a little in the last mile, feeling some 
tired but decided that was okay. The trail was rated easy with hills and 
was perfect for a nervous first outing.
 A couple places in the trail were so pretty with green that I got that 
*this is what it's all about* feeling.
